Formatting problem

I am using XP and put my computer into Auto Format
yesterday. Now I can't take it out of Auto Format and as
a result documents now start at the bottom of my page and
go upward. Needless to say, it looks awful and I'm very
frustrated.

This has little (if anything) to do with AutoFormat. It sounds like your
normal.dot template somehow has acquired "bottom" vertical alignment.

File => Page Setup => Layout (tab)

In the box for vertical alignment it should say "Top."
