Formatting in Word 2007

When opening documents, some display formatting bubbles in the right margin.
I have to click Review/Show Markup, then deselect Formatting to get rid of
the bubbles (and restore the doc to full screen width).

Is there an option to change the default so that Formatting is always
deselected?

Thanks,
Rich

As DeanH says, to get rid of Track Changes you will have to accept or reject
them, and then turn off Track Changes.

However, if you are trying to prevent Word from *displaying* formatting
changes whenever you are in fact tracking changes, you can do the following:
In the Track Changes Options dialog box, clear the check mark next to "Track
formatting." Note that this setting is document-specific setting; it has to
be turned off for each existing documents. What you can do is open your
template as a document and turn off the setting there, which makes future
documents based on that template behave the way you want.
