You have a start but you need to do more work on the page. The process you
outlined is suited to installing Windows 98 or Me. However if the hard drive
has not been previously partitioned then booting with a Widnows 98 Startup
disk and entering the format command will not work. Drives must be
partitioned before they can be formatted. You will need to run FDISK first.
On the other hand your instructions are not useful for installing Windows
NT/2000 or XP.
Have you had any success following the instructions in the link?
I think a little first hand experience would help fine tune the step by
step.
Set the bios to floppy, CD, then hard drive. Remove floppy if you don't want
to boot from floppy, don't press a key if you don't want to boot from CD. No
need to change the boot order more than once.
What if the hard drive is using NTFS? format c: will not work.
Good Luck is correct. LOL
