Formatting Hard Drive

How does one format the hard drive with Windows XP
Professional installed
 
use control panel -->administrative tools -Computer management - Disk
management.

There you can partition and format a harddrive.

Note: You cannot format or partition the boot drive or the system drive
 
Boot from the XP CD. It has all the tools needed to partition and format.
