Hi:
I am experiencing some "instability" with my PC running windows XP + sp2.
No viruses, CHKDSk /F, etc have been run. probable cause: shutting down
windows improperly "turn off pwer" when the PC freezes..

I have backed up my entire hard drive to a DVD disk.

Question: I am thinking of "formatting " the hard drive and then use the
"restore"
option to install all files. will this work..?
Do I need to reinstall Windows XP + SP2 and then "restore" ...?
thanks
padaki

If you PC has an OEM disk then the restore function may be all that is
available to you. After you have "restored" to the original factory
configuration then you can install SP2. (unless the restore disk is XP with
SP2)
