formatting comments text box in microsoft word 2000

How do I reposition the comments text box from the bottom of my page to the
side of my page in Word 2000? When I email the document with the comments on
the bottom to a colleague, the comments appear on her screen on the left hand
side of the document with lines from the individual comments to the position
of the comment in the document. I would like to be able to do that on my
computer. Thank you.

To achieve what you want, you'll have to buy Word 2002 or Word 2003.

The balloons, as they're called, were introduced in Word 2002. They didn't
exist when Word 2000 was made.
