FORMATTING CELL TO ACCEPT MEASUREMENT

I'm not sure how to format a cell to do this but you can use the
formula below...
=ROUNDDOWN(A1,0)&" ft. " &MOD(A1*12,12)&"in."

just put the total feet / inches (i.e. 1.5 = 1 ft 6 in) in cell a1 and
use the formula above.

Why not use format # ??/12
Then you can enter 7 3/12
This way lets you do arithmetic on the cells (add, multiple, etc)
