Hi everybody,
First of all: COMPLIMENTS OF THE SEASON TO ALL READERS.
Next, I am new to this forum. I have a slight problem and need some help and advice from some of you experts.
I have an e-machine that runs on Windows XP. I have had this machine for around 3 years and it's on almost 24 hours a day. Today of all days it's decided that it's had enough and stop.
Fortunately after checking everything inside and testing the circuits, I diagnoised that it needed a new brain(hard drive). I had a new hard drive still boxed for my spare PC.
I tried to just plug it in and set the BIOS to slave, but it did not recognise the new HD as a slave. When I plugged the new HD directly to the PC- nothing happened. It also did not recognise the HD.
Can anybody help please?
