I need to know how to change a text document into .doc
format so I can send it as an attachment to an e-mail.
 
You can open the ".text" file with wordpad, then save it as a ".doc". But I
wonder why you need to do this when you can send a ".text" file as an
attachment.

My apologies, I'm sure previous versions of WordPad would save in Word 6.0
format. You learn something everyday.
