Formating in Windows Mail

I tried to underline or bold text in windows mail and the formating tab under
tools is grayed out. Any suggestions?

Not sure where you are looking, there is no formatting tab under tools in
WM?


Go to tools>options>send tab and ensure that your mail sending format is set
to HTML.

The formatting bar is only available in HTML messages, not plain text
messages.
