I have been told by techs at Dell that:
CDs I created in XP are not readable in VISTA and
the quick format option in windows VISTA is not available

both of the above are problems I have with my new Dell equipped with
Vista Home, 32.

Are they putting me on? Is there something wrong with my CD drive or driver?
I do have all the updates from MS.

Vista uses UDF while XP uses CDFS for Compact disk file systems. So you will
need format a CDFS based disk in Vista to burn files using the burning
wizard in Vista.
