Format time as quantity, not clock

I'm trying to input time as a quantity - 15 hours and 30 minutes. Excel
keeps changing it to a clock time - 3:30 PM. What is the correct cell
format to use to keep time as quantity?

In Format/Cells/Number/Time there is, in most if not all versions, a
format that displays time with no AM/PM. In my version it's

37:30:55

but you can also use the equivalent custom format:

Format/Cells/Number/Custom [h]:mm:ss
