Format & Reinstall OS after Regular Intervals

I make an effort to spend 1 day to make a clean install Windows XP Pr with
SP2, 0ffice XP Pro with SP3, Anti virus (AVG), Anti Spy wares (Spy Bot 1.4 &
Adaware SE Pro), Utilities soft wares (Disk keeper, WinZip, WinRar, Tune Up
Utilities, Ghost 2003,) Yahoo & MSN messengers, Nero 6, AcDSee8 Pro, DVD
utilities like Xilisoft 3GP Video Converter, TMPGEnc MPEG, etc.
Disabling all UN required services.
Customize the appearance of the desk top etc according to my liking.
Install the latest updates for all soft wares.
Doing scanning for viruses, spy wares in between.
Installing latest driver files after XP install.
Cam install etc.
Using Disk keeper defrag the drives, MFT page file. Perform Boot time defrag.
Lastly I create an image & store it on another drive & burn onto a DVD. (So
have an image on 2 media.)
My machine is online 24 hrs /7 days, works errors free in all aspects.
My question is that I format the drive monthly or when required & restore
the original image ……takes me not more than 10 mins.
Isn’t it a better practice/ option than in trying unsuccessful attempts to
correct any error, scratching my head that how it happened. Trying in vain to
rectify it?
Regards!

Tell ya what, when you decide you want to put more definite time numbers on
this that won't change mid-stream and ask the question, more people can
reply with an appropriate response.

Numbers are a universal language, and you managed to botch that somehow.
There is no translation problem there, buddy. Your original post was quite
clear and concise. And I ain't pussy-footing around just because of some
unapparent language barrier.

Doing a full image backup regularly is good practice. Formatting and
reinstalling on a regular basis, let alone monthly, is absurd. It would
make more sense to learn some basics about proper system maintenance. If
your system is being severely damaged on a regular basis something is wrong
with your practices.

Monthly is just a figure of speech used, some times after 3-6 months, no
fixed time frame.
System mostly, is never damaged.
I know the basics of system maintenance, but just do it to have a fresh OS
restored in 10 mins.
If there is a new software I can learn, experiement with it etc, if some
thing happens have that option
Regards.

Once you have your system back to the way you want, consider creating a disk
image of it. This image then can be used to "restore" the disk to your
settings. It would be a lot faster than doing a full re-install. This is
the method that most System Recovery CDs work.

It has been over 10 years (running Windows 3.11) since I last
reformatted and did a clean install on "this" computer. I think the
power cord is still the same one that I was using back then, but
everything else (except perhaps the 3.5 diskette drive) has been
replaced/upgraded multiple times without ever needing to do a reformat
and reinstall.

Hey, it's your computer, do what you wish with it, nevermind the
nay-sayers, but the imaging suggestions are good advice. Personally, I
do much the same with one or two of my PCs for much the same reasons; I
like to experiment and learn, screw around, f*ck up the OS, etc. It's no
big deal. Do what you want with it. My main "production" PCs I don't do
this with, though. Haven't re-installed an OS on them in over three
years. Do they have problems? Yes, sometimes, I deal with them as they
occur.
