format painter in outlook not found

I have tried in vain to find the format painter icon in my father's outlook,
it seems to have disappeared. It is Outlook 2003 that he is using, and
having searched the Toolbars and formatting options, it just isn't there.

Please can someone let me know how I can get this icon back on the view
toolbars standard list?

Format Painter is a feature of Word, not Outlook. It will be present in an Outlook message only if Word is the email editor, an option set on the Tools | Options | Mail FOrmat dialog.
