Do you want to format the C drive or the whole harddisk?
To format C drive or old harddisk(not partitioned):
1. Boot from the XP CD.
2. Press "Enter" key to enter setup.
3. Press F8 key to accept the licence agreement.
4. Select "delete existing OS"
Format and parition the HDD as desired (NTFS or FAT32)
To format the new HDD:
Follow the above steps 1 to 3.
4. Follow the prompt to format and parition the HDD.
