Format drive for XP

N

newbie

I used an 98SE boot floppy to set partitions(3) and formated them in a 80G
drive. When I rebooted with Xp I could only see the 1st partion and had to
reformat it in Xp, It is in fat mode.
How can this be corrected?

Make youre partitions but only format C: drive, then install xp,once xp is
installed,go to run,type:diskmgmt.msc In msc,format the partitions,after
each,go to actions,all,make active.To convert a partition from FAT32 to ntfs,
go to run,type:cmd In cmd type:CONVERT D: /FS:ntfs D: being the drive
to convert.

Thanx, now it can see 3 partitions. I tried to ghost an image from old drive
to new partition, but when it boots up (with just that drive, cs mode) it
locks up in one of the XP boot screens.
