Format DataSheet View

Hello, I was wondering if theres an easy way to do this. I have a form based
on a query that I display the data in datasheet view. I would like to apply
some shading /color changes to a couple of the displayed columns. However
when I try to format the form in datasheet view it applies the format change
to every column despite what is selected. Further I tried applying the
desired format changes to the controls in design view. However when the form
is opened in a datasheet view these settings are ignored and am left with the
basic datasheet view.

I had expected this to be easy. any thoughts??

If your version of Access supports Conditional Formatting and there is
some criteria involved, i.e. a Date Field is < or > than Today's date,
you can use that in Form Datasheet view.
