Format and reinstall

Stupid question...I want to reformat my hard drive on my
Gateway Solo notebook but can't find my windows 2K cd.
The system restore disk is for Win ME. I have it loaded on
my desktop that came originally with W98. Is it possible
to move it across my home network or burn the files to cd?

No, you cannot install the OS without the installation CD, unless
you'd created a network installation in advance.
