format and reinstall my program

I wanted to format and reinstall my XP program. I got so much junk in my
computer that I want to clean them out. I have one problem, what if I don't
know my ID # or information to put in after I reinstall my computer. Where
can I find my id # and etc for this computer before I format it and start
all over again from scratch?

If you are talking about the Product Key, and if XP is still installed,
download/install Belarc. You will be able to find the PK with that program:

Hi Lauria

Are you getting an error message when trying to download any files? Are you
using Internet Explorer, or a 3rd party download manager? Something is
blocking the downloads - if you have XP SP2 installed, have you got the
pop-up blocker set toit's highest level? That will then ask you if want to
download any files via a small srtip at the top of the screen.
