Hi, I created a basic survey form for my website. When I
published and tested it, the results get written to the
result file just fine, but a page saying "%1!0.0s!This
page contains a Front Page %2!.32s! component that will
not function properly because it requires a web server
enabled with Microsoft SharePoint." The answers to the
survey question are then shown and a hyperlink
reading "No doucments found. Please try again." is
shown. When you click on this it takes you back to the
survey form. I recently installed FP 2003 Server
Extensions. Does this have anything to do with it? I
don't know a great deal about SharePoint, but know enough
to know that I don't need it or want it. I'm running FP
2000 on a Windows 2000 server and am the sole web
developer. Any help is greatly appreciated. This form
is giving me fits as I've had one problem after another
as evidenced by previous posts here. Thanks! Susan

1. There are no FP2003 server extensions. FP2003 uses either the FP2000 or
FP2003 extensions.
2. Under FP 2003 when you use certain features, they may require the use of
Share Point.

Think you meant FP2003 uses either the FP2000 or FP2002 extensions.

Then don't use any of the WSS services if you don't want to install WSS

Thanks for nothing. I don't know why I bother posting
here. I've never gotten any helpful answers, nothing but
snide, arrogant responses. When by some off chance
information is included, it's contradictory and useless.

There are no FP2003 server extensions? FP2003 uses
either the FP2000 or FP2003 extensions? WHAT? Now, can
you answer my question, putting my mistake re: extensions
aside? I just installed FP2002 extensions, not 2003.
Does that help? The issue is how to get my form to work
without error messges. I'm not using FP 2002 or 2003, I
use FP2000. Where am I going wrong?

Sorry, that was a typo in my reply. There are NO FP2003 extensions!

FP2003 will use either the FP2000 or FP2002 extensions or if hosted on
Windows IIS and SharePoint is installed, then it can use WSS.

You're welcome
- you indicated "I don't know a great deal about SharePoint, but know enough to know that I don't need it or want it."
- I told you how and when not to use them
