Form width always fills screen

However I set the width of a form, it always fills the screen when I run it.
Is that a default of Access, or can I have it only as wide as it needs to
be?

Hi

when you display your form, ensure that it is not maximised and then choose
window / size to fit form and then SAVE the form - it will open at that size
in the future unless you maximise your database container or another form.

Couldn't find "window / size to fit form" - but choosing "Border Style" as
anything EXCEPT "sizable", and then SAVING, as you suggested, did the trick
for me.

sorry forgot to mention that this option is only available in form view not
design view
