I have a text box on a form that the first time you enter the data it will
remain the same. Is there a setting or something that you change change in
the definition of the field that will keep the same information in that field
until it is either changed

I guess I don't understand at all.

When you enter data into a field in a Table, it will indeed remain the
same until it is changed. There's no "setting" to do this; that's the
default... and Access wouldn't be much use if it weren't!

Could you clarify what you're trying to accomplish?

If you are saying that your form's text box value doesn't change when you
move from record to record, is there a chance that text box is not bound to
any field in the underlying query or table?
