It appears I have all the form property info going to the right place. I have told the forms in what documents (in the "privacy" folder) I want them to be housed. I am getting the results via email fine but can not find them in the Excel .csv documents (they appear empty). What am I missing here

Thanks.

I hope you don't take this wrong, but which .csv are you looking at?
the one in your local web or the one on the server?
to see the results you would do this, in FrontPage:
file/ open web
type in the http:// address of your site.
give it the username and password.
when it opens in FrontPage look in the _private folder. if you want to save
what you see just right click the .csv in folders view or the folder list
and select "publish selected files" it should "know" which local web to
publish it to, if not you'll have to browse to your local matching _private
folder.

1. Try saving to a file with a .txt extensions instead of .csv

2. Have your host check the permissions on the _private folder.

I may not have explained this well..I just wanted to save the email addresses that register for my newsletter to a database in the privacy folder. Someone suggested I use Excel (I think .csv instead of the normal Excel extention), which I did. Do your recommendations above still hold? I may of made the simple more complex in my intial question.

To write to a file the file needs to be in a folder w/ write permissions
- by default only the _private folder has write permission in a FP site
Move your results file to the _private folder and check the form properties to make sure it is pointing to it there

I double checked, everything is pointing into the file in the privacy folder. Hmmmmmm.

I didn't say privacy folder, I said _private folder
