Form fields - with one entry, can it appear in multiple places?

Hi.

Is there a way to:

Create a form for users to enter numbers into.
Have the numbers they enter automagically populate *multiple* places in the
document?

For instance, I enter "123" into the first field, and the number "123"
appears elsewhere in the document.

I've played with using the field code "Ref" - but it only updates if you
specifically request the field to update by right-clicking it and selecting
"update." This form is to be used by people who aren't very Word-savvy, and
given that I think I'd have a hard time remembering to go update ALL the
fields individually, I can't expect them to.

When the form is locked, you can't select the whole document and update all
fields at once. :-)

My guess is that this is something requiring VBA code, but y'all are soooo
wonderful at providing really cool ways to do things, so I figured I'd ask.

Thanks!

Grace

What if you want to do this and have your document still be "editable" (i.e.,
not protected)? Is there a way to use online forms in this manner, or is
another tool better? I looked at some of the links in other threads, but have
yet to see this clearly described.
