FORM FIELD

when i type data into a text box form field and set options for it, other
text around shifts or moves, messing up the layout of the form alltogether.
what can i do?i'm working with Word 2000.

Put your form field in a spot that can't grow. Often used are fixed-size
table cells or frames. What you are talking about is what Word calls an
"online form." Check this in help. For more about online forms, follow the

Thank you Charles!!! I found that frames are good but the thing i kept
forgetting was is the "fixed" aspect of things.

Now, in relation to the same area: Do i still insert a form field? What i
did was insert a text box and convert to a frame. Can applicants just type
information into the frame once i protect the document?

No, you need a form field inside the frame to take the information once the
document is protected for forms.
