FLAG was designed to simplify the process of log file analysis and
forensic investigations. It uses a database as a backend to assist in
managing the large volumes of data. This allows it to remain responsive
and expedite data manipulation operations. It features compatibility with
encase images, Windows registry support, and network dump analysis.

This program is simply brilliant. I have used it at work for some time
now and have been very pleased with the results, though I doubt the
few miscreants on the recieving end were pleased at all. You can get a
fully functioning version that runs off of a Knoppix based CD here at
the bottom of the page:
http://www.dsd.gov.au/library/software/flag/index.html

Just perfect for checking client computers without the risk of
overwriting evidence.
