My english XP version can't recognize russian software. I mean, it displays
funny characters on buttons and everywhere else where russian ones should
appear. A friend of mine knows how repare it reinstalling the Windows and
entering certain setup in the very beginning. Is there any cure on the ready
installed XP?

Yeah - It's called Regional & Language Options, should be
in control panel.
