foreign fonts do not display

Using WinXP Pro with Office 2002. I have need to use a foreign language font
as well as English. I have a specialised application which uses output from
an Access database to display certain queries from the database. When I view
the database in Access the English and foreign fonts display correctly.When
I use the applet, the foreign fonts do not. I think it could be Office
related but will take advice from anyone with ideas.

I should also mention that if I export the Access database into a text file,
then the fonts do not display. However if exported into Excel then they do
show correctly. Mystified!!!
