Foreign Domains in My Network Places

With the implementation of a VPN solution, I know have a dozen foreign
domains listed in MY Network Places. My thought is that this Data is being
import into AD from Remote Users home workgroups, domains, and clients they
visit. I can not access any of these domains, and have verified that no
unauthenticated users have access my network.
How can I clear these domains out of my AD? And ensure they do not come back?

They are not actually in Active Directory, but are in the browse list and
yes they can come from a users laptop that is in a workgroup or such. It is
hard to avoid as long as netbios over tcp/ip is used on the network and
computers other that your own domain are connected to your network. They
should disappear from the browse list within a day or so from being removed
from the network. The browse list that My Network Places uses is pretty
ancient technology and is managed "behind the scenes" automagically. For
domains outside of the forest to actually appear in Active Directory,
explicit trusts would have to be enabled which requires domain admin
credentials. --- Steve
