For the past month I cannot open .eml attachments.

I have not been able to open .eml attachments that I receive from friends and
family. I spent an hour on line with a tech guy. All he said was that the
..eml
files were excluded from Microsoft Outlook.
 
eml-files are files which are opened with Outlook Express or Windows Mail.
Microsoft Office Outlook uses msg-files.
