For some reason, my outlook WILL NOT RECEIVE E-MAIL UNLESS PROGRA.

This has happened in the last two weeks only. It's extremely irritating. I
have had countless people send e-mail (work related!!!!) and I have not
received it. Upon opening the program, it automatcially sends and receives.
If I WATCH the status bar, it will behave as if it is receiving mail (i.E.
the blue bar....) but mail will never show up in the inbox nor can I figure
out where it goes (out in space somewhere perhaps....). Of note, I have
never changed any of my settings. Again, this just started happening one day
a few weeks ago. No viruses. (My computer almost literally wears a coat of
armor). I have not changed settings in my virus program either and have had
that in place for probably at least a year and a half.

I am NOT computer saavy, merely an operator and so I do not understand
complicated instructions. Most of my settings (in fact, probably all) are
default. I wouldn't know how to change otherwise.

If I have the program open and a person sends again, I WILL RECEIVE as
usual.

Any ideas??

Remember, no complicated answers please. As far as computers go, I'm a
kindergartner.

Thanks.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Michaele L. asked:
