Just thought I`d provide some feedback re your entry on the subject.
Following your comment I installed HostMan 2.0 and installed all Hosts file
options provided giving me 68000+ enties. MSAS hung at the "Variable Browser
Hijack Scan" Taskman indicated CPU utilisation was high with program not
responding. Reinstalled the original copy of my Hosts file (10,000 entries
)and now MSAS (.701) is behaving itself. DNS client in Hostman was disabled
but did not try in safe mode.

Thanks for your confirmation, Stu. That's exactly what I'm using, just the
mvps.org hosts plus a few from SpySweeper for a total of ~10,000, and things
seem fine now.
