Footers

I have a border on my page and I am trying to add a footer. The footer box
comes up above my border and I cannot move it down below to write in it.
Any suggestions? My border is not close to the bottom of the page either.

There is a minimum unprintable areas around the page that is governed by
your printer (though some new InkJet printers let you print Photos to the
edge, text cannot (yet) be printed to edge of the paper. So at the bottom of
the page, you need to allow for the unprintable area plus the area for your
footer before your margin.

Unfortunately, Microsoft do not provide sufficient options to adjust the
Page Borders under many circumstances. I suggest that instead of using the
Page Border tool, open the Header and then draw a rectangle around the page
using the tool on the Drawing Toolbar. Then adjust its position and size and
format the border style as you want it to appear. If you don't want it to
appear on every page, then don't draw it in the Header level, just draw it
on the page in the Text level.

If you have the page border set "From text," clear the check box for
"Surround footer."
