Hi, how can I add fonts serif, san serif, and console to Word? They aren't
in the font folder. Mindy

You need to find the files for them (possibly on the Internet) download them
and copy them to Start|Control Panel|Fonts

HTH,

Serif and sans serif are not font names but font types. Serifs are those
little decorative lines at the end of letters. Times New Roman is a serif
font. Arial is a sans serif font.

That's a zip file. Did you extract the files?

If the font is in the Fonts folder, it will be available in Word.

The link you supplied states:
a.. Designed for legibility with C++, Fortran, Basic and Assembly language
source code.
a.. Support popular programming environments like Microsoft Visual Basic,
Visual C++ and Borland Delphi, and popular text editors like TextPad.

I am guessing but I would think that it may be because they are .fon files
and not .ttf. Perhaps you can't "add in" a .fon font and use it in Word.

I just found this in another newsgroup:

"The FON fonts are screen fonts. Unless your software is very very sick, it
should NEVER show you these as available font selections ... other than
perhaps programming tools."

Since you never did say what you were doing.........why are you trying to
use those fonts in Word?

I'm taking a html class and my instructor said that was a common font so I
just want to see what it looks like.
