Hi foleylink,
For one thing you don't need to post but once. These guys a experts and they are
nice, but late on Friday, looking forward to spending a weekend with their lovely
families. Well let's try to hold it down, k?
Try using your Windows Explorer. Right click My Computer choose the %RootDrive%
(C:\>). Look in WINNT directory by looking in the Fonts directory. You will see all
of the fonts. Some have several fonts for each. Like one is the normal letters, one
is bold, one is italics. You can delete them there without causing any problems. You
also can change the extensions to temporarily render them useless. Like take the dot
out, place it at the end and add "old". After you are sure you have done this
correctly and it doesn't cause any of your programs any heartache, do a search for
*.old. You will get all you renamed, and delete them from the search window.
You also can encapsulate them into a folder you create within the fonts directory
(or wherever), if you may need them again. Or you can make a copy to a floppy for
future use.
Hope this helps,
don
I recently re-installed W2K SP4 on my computer and I have
a problem. When I uninstall a font by deleting it through
Control Panel/Fonts, it immediately reappears as
installed. What am I doing wrong?
