fonts too small in many windows

in many windows, font c is 5 pts or less. As you can see, or rather not see
easily, the size type is nearly impossible to read. I have tried to find
ways to increase the size but to no avail. I have smoothed the type, gone to
windows to adjust print size but nothing works. On many of the programs
installed, I e vista mail I cant read the address bar on incoming or out
going mail so have been forced to use alternative programs for email. When
will this be fixed or are there alternative things I can try. I have gone to
the help site but others are having the same problems and I have tried the
thing s suggested by them but no luck. It is ridiculous to pay 1K for a
puter and not be able to use so many features because you cant read the text.

this is a fairly new laptop (under 1yr) and while i understand VIsta is a
work in progress it still should never have been released with sooo many
issues. And while i prefer XP and would have put that on inplace of VIsta
some brands come pre loaded and will not allow dual loading of Windows
programs

A specific pont size is meaningless on a screen. If the screen is set up
for 640 by 480 the size on the screen will look about twice a large as on a
screen set to 1200 by 900. A 12 inch screen will show it much smaller than
a 30 inch screen. Tell us about your setup so we can have a mutual
understanding of the problem. Right now all we know for sure that the
problem is on a fairly new laptop.

Right click on the desktop/chose "personalize", then "Adjust Font Size
(DPI)" in the left pane. You can increase the font size by percentage to
better suit your particular screen size and resolution.
