fonts screwed up

Suddenly my fonts seem screwed up in several applications. Looking at my
installed fonts, I see that Arial Unicode MS (ARIALUNI.TTF) is 22 MB. That
can't be right, can it? How can I fix the problem?

Some of the important fonts are covered by Windows File Protection. See if
running "Sfc /scannow" helps to restore missing fonts. Otherwise, manually
check if all the mainstream fonts are present in your system. Refer

Still having strange but transient font problems. Today, the password font
on the Windows login screen instead of black spots was rectangular boxes.
