My cousin has a PC running XP HE SP2, and OE6.

She installed some new TrueType fonts into the 'Fonts' folder, as she wanted
to be able to compose emails using these - these worked fine, appearing in
the drop down list in OE, until she ran 'disk clean up' on the PC. The fonts
she previously installed have since disappeared from the drop down bar and
will now not`reinstall into the Fonts folder.

Is there a way of fixing it this? Why would disk clean up remove them
anyway?

Thanks for any help regarding this. (I posted to the OE group but was
directed to this one).

Craig.

This is a WAG, but perhaps your cousin downloaded these fonts and then,
instead of saving them into a permanent place, installed them from the
Temporary/Temporary Internet Files Folder. So naturally when she did Disk
Cleanup they were gone.

Tell her to download the fonts again (or otherwise get them into her
computer) and save them first in her My Documents folder. From there
install them into the Fonts folder using the "Install new font" routine.

Don't Panic!

Hello Malke,

That's how we did it the first time, when it worked, then we did the same
thing again - only this time it doesn't work! Can't understand it.

Thanks.

Me, neither. I'd have to see it.

Sorry that I wasn't able to help you with this issue.
