fonts for word 2003

Michelle

we are currently using Windows XP with Word 2003. We used to be on a Windows
2000 platform and had a lot more font choices in Word. What do I need to do
to get all the fonts that we used to have on Windows 2000? I have searched
the microsoft web site and can't find a download.

thx

Well, the fonts you had previously may very well have come from a variety of
sources & accumulated over time. Windows provides some fonts & many
programs - including those in MS Office - also add fonts to your fonts
folder when you install the programs.

I don't believe MS is offering font downloads any longer. You might have a
look at the following page & see if some of the links will help:

Fonts are also avaailable from any number of web sites but you need to be
careful... Not all are professionally designed & can print poorly or cause
problems so it's best to stay with reliable sources. Most worthwhile fonts
aren't free, although they aren't necessarily expensive.

If you still have any of the old systems the fonts installed on them can
also be moved to the new units although some may involve licensing issues.
Also, older fonts may not hold up as well in the newer programs.
