Fonts Change after Publishing to Remote Server

Hi,
I have just published my first website to my remote server. I use FP2003.
When creating my website, I used a font called AvantGarde. When I call up my
website on the internet, the fonts have all changed to Times New Roman. Has
this happened to anyone else? or does anyone know how I can fix the problem?
I have already tried to reset the fonts to Arial using the page properties
and frame properties.
Thanks,

How did you apply the font to your text?

Hi Thomas,
I applied the font in the same way you would in MS Word. It wasn't until I
realised that the fonts on the internet are different from those in my local
server that I tried to set the page properties.

You have to actually select the text and apply the font or set the fonts via CSS. If you select a
font that is not on a user's pc, then they will mostly see Times Roman as the font, by default.

The default font setting is FP, only applies to how you see the text while working in FP, not how it
will display on the web.
