The only programs that have installed fonts on my WinXP Pro SP2 machine (to
my knowledge) are:
- Windows XP Pro SP1 CD
- Windows XP SP2 Update
- MS Image Composer 1.5
- MS Office XP Pro
I would like to back up all the fonts that are currently installed using
Genie Backup Manager 6 Pro (or another method if you recommend one). Then
when I eventually reinstall Windows or reformat, I can simply install all
the new fonts right away. I believe that Image Composer has to be installed
before Office XP. I posted this in the OfficeSetup newsgroup but no one
replied, so I am asking here now.
- When SP2 , Image Composer, and Office install their fonts, will they
detect that newer versions of the fonts are already installed, or will they
try to replace the newer fonts with the older ones?
- What is the best way to back up and restore fonts?
