i have powerpoint 2003 and windows xp pro.
when i linked an excel table to a powerpoint slide, its text garbles
with changing character spacing between the letters.
changing the font type does not make it any better.
any suggestion?

which service pack=
office or windows?
by the way, which is important?
at home i use xp pro with office 2003,
at work i use xp 64 bit with office 2000.
prepared that stuff at work, but looks same at home and at work.

service packs are important but especially sp2 for ppt 2003. Do you get the
problem if you use excel 2003 / ppt 2003?

Is the Excel chart in PPT sized to 100% of original size? I'd bet not.
I'd bet that is doing it.

the problem is not with charts, but with pasted linked excel tables.
i have recently installed sp2 for office 2003, but same problem
persists.
scaling to 100 percent does not do any good.
