Sometimes websites open with very large fonts that don't permit the content
of the item to appear on the page. Other times the fonts are miniscule.
Even a program window can appear very out of proportion. I'm missing a
setting somewhere to sort this out. Can anybody help.

Greetings,

To change the text size in Internet Explorer, follow these instructions:

1. Click on View > Text Size
2. And choose "Medium Size".

Some websites have different text size, the only way you can try viewing the
whole website is try increasing your resoultion.

Hope this helps :)

Best of luck!

As far as web pages, you can also try this..go to tools>internet
Options>general tab>accessibility> and place a mark next to 'ignore font
sizes on web pages'

And try this if tat does not work...
Change Internet Explorer Advanced Settings
Click to clear the Do not save encrypted pages to disk check box. To do so,
follow these steps: 1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Click to clear the Do not save encrypted pages to disk check box.
5. Click Apply, and then click OK.
