In this message box, as I type, the font size is about 6. In many other
places, it's the same size. The names of the Discussions in the forum are
about a 12 and so are the Windows choices to the extreme left. I've changed
many settings in Display Properties -> Appearance -> Advanced, but none of
them change the size of the font. The font size in Display Properties is
also a size 6.
Could someone telll me the right setting to change to fix this?

~ If you don't know where you came from, you won't know where you're going.
= Right click on your Desktop and select Properties from the drop down list,
on the Display Properties click on Appearance Tab.
On Appearance Tab make sure this option is set correctly:
Font Size:
[ Normal ][v]
Click [OK] and Hit F5, does it work?.
= If still then try this:
Right click Start Buttonand select Properties, on the Taskbar and Start Menu
properties click on Start Menu Tab then click on Customize Button.
On Customize Start Menu under General Tab make sure this radio Button is
checked:
Select an icon size for programs
(*) Large Icons
Click on Settings and change the resolution to lower resolutions than the
one you have.
Click [OK] and Hit F5 to refresh.
= Right click Desktop>> Point to Arrange icons by>>
Uncheck "Lock web items"
= Another is Open IE Page and click on View >>Text Size >> Medium.
Hit F5, does this help.
= Try this:
Hold down the CTRL Key and Scroll with the mouse Middle button and see if
that will enlarge the Font.
HTH.

"On Appearance Tab make sure this option is set correctly:
Font Size:
[ Normal ][v]" --> This reduced my font sizes from 12 pitch to 10 pitch for things such as the 2 menus to the left, but the font size in the window that I'm now typing is still the same size, 6 pitch. The font size of the minimized pages in my task bar went from a 10 pitch to a 6 pitch.
"Click on Settings and change the resolution to lower resolutions than the
one you have" --> this option wasn't available
" = Another is Open IE Page and click on View >>Text Size >> Medium.
Hit F5, does this help." --> This enlarges/reduces some items on a page but
not all of them so that some words are so large that they're overlapping
while others remain tiny.
"= Right click Desktop>> Point to Arrange icons by>>
Uncheck "Lock web items" " --> This removed my wallpaper and replaced it with the Windows logo screen.
"= Try this:
Hold down the CTRL Key and Scroll with the mouse Middle button and see if
that will enlarge the Font.
