Font dedication

I am writing with word 2007 in a foreign language, Every time i select it it
appears ok but as soon as I start typing it disappears and a different font
appears. Even after I made it the default font. Can anyone help?

It would help if you identify the default language you use, and the
language you switch to, and how you select it, and which font you want
to use, and which font appears instead.

But in the Format (or Modify) Style > Font panel, you can set three
default fonts -- for Roman alphabet, for "Complex" scripts (right-to-
left, or Indian etc. ones where the letters change shape when next to
other letters), and for "Asian" scripts (Chinese, Japanses, Korean).

If the font you choose doesn't have characters you're trying to type,
Word will default to these settings.
