Font Corruption and following needed reboot

?

-_-

Not sure where to start, but I have Googled for any clues as to why my
system will experience a font corruption once or so a day which will
then require a reboot. Reboot is performed because the event causes
apps to stop responding. I do not adjust for any special fonts, just
those that are defaulted for IE, Firefox, and Thunderbird.

Nothing in the event log that offers any clues, either.

System is Asus based P5ND2SLI with D805 and 1 GB memory
ATI X800 video
HDD
DVD ROM

I have run the memory through tests on the Ubuntu CD (Memtest 86) for an
extended period and memory passed all tests.

I have bumped the voltage from default of 1.8V to 1.9V, just in case.

OS is Windows XP SP2 fully patched with AOL Active Virus Scan sans
toolbar and Comodo firewall.

Have run Norton Systemworks Windoctor and registry integrity tool and
"One Button Checkup".

Anyone out there have any clues as to this problem?

What have I missed?

Point me to better newsgroup if needed.

TIA,

Curious - you know it is font corruption because....?
That is the visual artifact that I can attest to seeing as a symptom.
That is the only clue that precedes the failing instance of XP
Professional SP2.
