font color in folders

In Win98, we could change the background and font color of files in folders.
Somehow, when I installed XP, it kept my old WHITE font color for the files
in one folder, but not the dark background of the folder. So I can't see the
folder names without selecting em all.

How do I change the font color and background color in XP? Of course Win 98
allowed us to put a picture in the folder background. I don't see how to do
that with XP.

Thanks, gang.

A bit of research here and there and putting it in a user-friendly format,
easy to follow steps :)

Nicely done, Anando. Good looking page too. Downloaded quickly, easy to
read and all that good stuff :)
