Followed Hyperlinks only work 2nd time around

PROBLEM REPORT

Powerpoint version now in use:2007-office and student edition

Version the file was created in or opened in since, if any: 2007

Windows version:xp professional

Other hardware involved (printer, etc):no

Description of problem:I have the theme selected to show hyperlinks in
white, followed hyperlinks in yellow
The color only changes for the followed hyperlinks the 2nd time they are
used. I have 51 slides and this is a consistent problem throughout the show.

When I do this:
click on hyperlink (to later slide in presentation)

Here's what I expect to happen, but it doesn't:
When I get back to the followed hyperlink page I expect the color to change
to yellow
It only changes the 2nd time used!

We've seen a couple of reports of this on the newsgroup and I don't know if
we've come up with an answer (see this thread:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/com...aedd65-0693-4fee-9d95-2aebcca017a5&sloc=en-us).
I'll do a bit of testing later and see what I can come up with.

PS Please make sure you have a local colour printer driver installed. I know
it sounds odd, but what can I say? 2007 is odd ;-)

I had the same problem and another member (Echo S) suggested a work around
that worked. Insert a blank/black slide at the beginning of the
presentation. Set that slide up to automaitcally transition after 0 sec to
your original "home" slide. Instead of linking to the home slide from all of
your other slides, link to the dummy (blank) slide. When you do you will
automatically transition back to the original home slide. Somehow by going
to the dummy slide and then to the home slide the followed hyperlinks change
color, like it used to do in previous verstsions.
