Follow-up question re: SP2

Earlier I asked when SP2 for Windows XP will be available. This
leads to another question. If I continue to download Critical Updates from
Microsoft on a regular basis, will there even be a need for me to download
the official SP2 when it is released next year?

Yes, Windows XP Service Pack 2 will include many updates and patch's that
are not available for download. many problems will be addressed in SP2.
From problems many people have too problems only a few number of users have
experienced.

tYes. SP2 will very likely include, not only all the critical
updaes released since SP1, but also other fixes. That was true of
SP1.

Only if you want the several hundred minor problem fixes which MS didn't
label as 'critical' and shove down the wire at you. Most of us do, since
they are (hopefully) fixes for all the annoyances that people ask about
on this NG about twice an hour. 8>.

NOTE: Please do NOT install this. Normal users should NOT try to run beta
software.

It's an beta release of Update Rollup1 for WU4 Beta. This is NOT wise to
install. Again, do not install it. If you do and you have problems,
Microsoft nor any one in this Newsgroup can help.

Hi Testy,

Are you able to do a nice, normal search using Explorer, the same way that
anyone used to be able to do pre-XP? Or should we still keep Agent Ransack
handy?
