Follow Up Flag on New Email Cannot Set Color

R

Randy

When I create new email and want to set a follow up flag,
I click the "Follow Up" icon which lets me set a type of
flag, date/time but the field for flag color is greyed
out and unavailable. If I accept the flag type
of "Follow Up" it shows on my various folder lists with a
greyish-red flag instead of the empty flag color and I
can sort the folder by that field. It looks like it is
flagged correctly.

However, searching for items with are flagged for follow
up does not return these items. I have to open the item,
and now it lets me set a specific flag color. Once I
have done so, it shows up properly on the flag for follow
up views.

Anyone have any idea what is wrong? Thanks.

These are two different type of flags. The flag where the whole box get
colored is an Outlook flag; only supported by Outlook 2003. The greyish red
flag you can set is a message property you can send with the message.
